How do we obtain a marriage license?

How many witnesses do I need?
California allows up to two witnesses to sign the marriage license for a public ceremony.
Does Passionate Proclamations perform confidential marriages?
Although Karen is a notary, she is not registered to and cannot perform confidential marriages, only public marriages.
I don't need an officiant, but I do need a wedding assistant, would Karen be able to help?
Feel free to contact us to discuss. Depending on the amount of time, and your needs, we can work out a schedule, as long as Karen is not booked for another wedding. She is an experienced event planner and would love to assist you if you need the help.
You mentioned Karen is a notary, does she offer notary services as well?
Yes, Karen is also a notary and offers services in both English and Spanish.
Her notary fees are $10/signature + travel fee, depending on location.
What does Karen wear for ceremonies?
Traditionally Karen has been asked to wear a suit for most of the ceremonies performed. She may wear a robe as long as it does not belong to any religious organization (i.e., Catholic priest robe). If you wish for her to wear a robe, it must be provided. She has also performed ceremonies where she was asked to wear a formal gown, and most recently, a summer dress with flip flops, for a wedding at the beach!
